William Ward of Bainbridge, N.Y. [Chenango Co., NY] and Carrie Palmer, of Sidney, N.Y. [Delaware Co., NY] were married at the home of the bridegroom's brother, Frank Ward, in Sayre, Pa., Monday, Dec. 27. The Rev. S.M. Babcock, pastor of the Free Methodist church officiated. A quiet wedding took place at the home of the bride's father W.D. Thomas on Evans street [Bainbridge, Chenango Co., NY] Friday evening, January 7, 1921 at 7 o'clock, when only the immediate families were present. The bride, Clara Josephine Thomas was married to Howard Alsworth Cornell by her pastor, the Rev. Charles G. Cady. The bride's dress was of silver blue trimmed with gold and she carried a bouquet of American beauty roses. The bride's maid was Miss Mildred Colwell and the best man was the groom's brother, Harold Cornell. After the wedding a bridal lunch was served. The bride is a graduate of the Bainbridge High School and also a student of Lowell's School of business and Mr. Cornell is an employee of the American Separator Co. A very pretty home wedding took place last Saturday morning when Miss Lutie B., youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Puffer, became the bride of Mr. William R. Davidson of North Main street [Bainbridge, Chenango Co., NY]. The ceremony as performed at the home of the bride's parents on Juliand street, the Rev. Charles G. Cady, pastor of the Presbyterian church, being the officiating clergyman. The young couple were attended by Mr. Thomas Davidson, brother of the groom and Mrs. Raymond Holman, sister of the bride, and the guests were the immediate families. Mr. and Mrs. Davidson departed for a short trip to the North and on their return they will reside near East Guilford [Chenango Co., NY] where Mr. Davidson will engage in dairy farming. Miss Florence L. Sherman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Sherman, of East Afton [Chenango Co., NY], was married to Ralph O. Ireland, son of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Ireland, of Bainbridge [Chenango Co. NY], Saturday, Nov. 15, at the Union Valley Church. the ceremony as performed by the Rev. Francis Richmond, assisted by the Rev. George C. Willets. the church was decorated with hemlock boughs and carnations. The bride wore a white satin gown made with a sweetheart neckline with pearl trimming. The long net veil was attached to a wreath of pink and white carnations. She carried a bouquet of red roses. Mrs. Clarence Gifford, of Afton, a sister of the bride, was matron of honor. She wore yellow chiffon gown with yellow accessories and carried a bouquet of pink and white carnations. Phyllis Gifford acted as flower girl for her aunt and wore an aqua dress and carried a bouquet of mixed flowers. The best man was Alton Ireland, brother of the bridegroom. The ushers were Earl Sherman and LeGrand Ruling. The bride's mother wore navy blue with a corsage of pink and white carnations. The bridegroom's mother was attired in gray wool and a corsage of pink and white carnations. A reception was held at the community house, following the ceremony. A three tiered wedding cake centered the bride's table. The bride and bridegroom are both graduates of Bainbridge Central High School.
