Henry C. Hall
Norwich [Chenango Co., NY]: At a meeting of the Town Board, on Friday evening of last week, the resignation of Arthur R. Choules from the office of town clerk was received and accepted. On motion, Henry C. Hall was appointed to succeed Mr. Choules. Mr. Hall is well qualified to perform the duties of the office and his many friends are much pleased over his appointment. His employment as operator of the simplex typesetting machine in the office of the Chenango Union makes him easy of access to all who have business to transact with the town clerk.
Mr. Choules, who has very creditably and acceptably filled the position of clerk for the past two years, recently accepted a position with a large wholesale firm at Ithaca, and his absence from town is the cause of his retirement from the office.
