Rosman D. Bush
1835 - 1904
Rosman D. Bush, residing at Bush Settlement, town of Oxford [Chenango Co., NY], died June 29th, of rheumatic trouble complicated with heart affection. His age was about seventy years. He had been an invalid for about a year. He was the second son of Samuel Hull Bush, who lived to be over ninety-two years of age. The father was one of the founders of the M.E. church society in this village. The deceased son was highly respected. Of his immediate family only a wife survives. His funeral was held Friday at noon from his home, Rev. J.S. Crompton assisted by Rev. C.D. Reed officiating. Burial at West Bainbridge [Chenango Co., NY].
Ella B. (Fisher) Burton
1865 - 1914
Mrs. Fred Burton died suddenly from heart disease early Tuesday morning at 2 o'clock, after an illness of only one hour. Mr. and Mrs. Burton resided on a farm on the Guilford Road, two miles from this village. They had been married 29 years, her maiden name being Ella B. Fisher. She was born in North Sanford [Broome Co., NY] and lived there until her marriage. She was 51 years old. She was a splendid woman devoted to her work on the farm and her home and she assisted in a large measure toward the success which had come to them. Her pleasant and genial nature made her many friends. The funeral was held Thursday at 1 o'clock at the home, Rev. Frank James officiating.
Fred Burton

The funeral services of Fred Burton were held from his late home Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 and were in charge of Rev. R.F. Lesh, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal church, who spoke words of comfort to the bereaved family, relatives and friends who had assembled to pay their last respects. Mr. Burton was born in Bainbridge [Chenango Co., NY], May 11, 1866 and has always resided in this community, occupying various farms until 15 years ago, he purchased the farm on the Guilford road where he has since resided until two months ago, on account of failing health he sold and moved into the Nicholas Friedel house where he passed peacefully away Saturday morning, of Bright's disease. Mr. Burton was united in marriage to Ella B. Fisher January 19, 1886 and who passed away four years ago. Two children were born to them. Mr. Burton's social disposition won for him a large circle of friends. Esteemed by all, his passing will be missed in the community in which he has lived. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Fred Sherman of Cooperstown, and one son Leland F., three grandchildren, Walter, Doris, and Ruth Sherman; a sister, Mrs. Frank Richards and a brother, Charles Burton. The burial was in Green Lawn Cemetery [Bainbridge, NY], beside his wife.
Isaac D. Parks

Isaac D. Parks died at his home on the Abner Searles farm, Searles Hill [Bainbridge, Chenango Co., NY], on Friday afternoon at two o'clock of erysipelas, aged forty-six years. The family removed here from Coventry about the 1st of March. Mr. Parks suffered greatly during his illness, blood poisoning having set in. The funeral was held at the house Sunday at noon, Rev. C.D. Reed officiating, and his remains were taken to Oxford [Chenango Co., NY] for burial. He is survived by a wife.
Levi L. Smith
Bainbridge Republican, April 9, 1903
Levi L. Smith died at his home in Newton Hollow [Chenango Co., NY] this Thursday morning at six o'clock, aged fifty-seven years, from a complication of diseases. Mr. Smith has been ill for a long time. The funeral will be held at the West Bainbridge Baptist church, Saturday, at Eleven o'clock, Rev. C.D. Reed officiating. Burial in the West Bainbridge cemetery [Chenango Co., NY]
Annette (VanHorne) Gardenier

Mrs. Mary J. Van Horne received a few days ago a telegram announcing the death of Mrs. Annette Gardenier of Westkill, N.Y., a sister of the late Judge A.A. VanHorne of Bainbridge, and was the last remaining member of the David Van Horne family of Bennettsville. Mrs. Gardenier visited in Bainbridge, last summer accompanied by her nephew, Oliver D. Hare of Westkill, and went to her old home in Bennettsville [Chenango Co., NY]. She was sixty-six years of age.
