We learn that a young man, son of Mr. Josiah Cole of the town of Roseboom [Otsego Co. NY], aged 18 years, while engaged in plowing on his father's farm, on the 28th ult. had occasion to use the whip to his team, when the animal nearest him kicked, striking him in the breast. The young man remarked to a laborer who was at work in the same field, that he was not much hurt; that he should recover in a few monents. He however found that he was unable to walk, when he was carried to the house. On examination, his chest bones were found to be completely stove in. He expired in about two hours.
