Junior High Graduation - Bainbridge High School

Commencement exercises for the Junior High School will be held Friday morning, June 23, at 10 o'clock in the school auditorium, at which time 26 students will receive diplomas.  Parents and friends of the graduates are cordially invited to attend.

 

Betty Collins is valedictorian with an average of 93.8 and Jean Salzberg, salutatorian with 93.7. 

 

This year, replacing a guest speaker, the Junior High School Girls' Glee Club will present the following concert:

1.  Nocturne

2.  Nightfall

3.  Were You There

4.  Now the Day is Over

5.  Aufwiedersehn

 

Wedding of the Painted Doll, In my Garden by trio--Barbara Fenner, Barbara Branham and Dorothy Bacon.  The high school band will also present a program including a trumpet solo by Darwin Taft.

 

Mr. Casey will deliver a short address and present the diplomas.  Mrs. Edward Danforth, president of the Woman's Club, will award dictionaries from the club to the boy and girl in both the seventh and eighth grades having the highest scholastic average.  The P.T.A. awards will also be made at this time.  The Rev. Paul L. Carpenter will give the Invocation and Benediction. 

 

The Class officers are:  Charles Flyzik, president;  Clifford Wade, vice-president; Nanette Horton, secretary and treasurer.  The class advisors are Miss Shirley Earl and Mrs. Charles Arnold.
