Rev. C.B. Hudson
At the recent annual conference of the Free Methodist Church held at Rome [Oneida Co., NY], Rev. C.H. Hudson was appointed pastor of the church in this village [Norwich, Chenango Co., NY]. Mr. Hudson was born in Auburn and comes here from Corning, where he had held a charge for three years. he has also filled charges at Oswego, Rome and Watertown and comes to Norwich highly spoken of by those places as a minister of much ability and a man respected by all. A short time before leaving Corning, Mr. Hudson was happily surprised on the occasion of his 50th birthday by a large number of his friends and neighbors and was presented with a beautiful upholstered rocking chair and a purse of money.
