At Baldwinsville, Oneida Co. [NY] on the 25th of April of a lingering consumption. Mrs. Huldah [Coon] wife of Simon Coon, formerly of this village [Oneonta, Otsego Co. NY] in the 46th year of her age.

In Hartwick [Otsego Co. NY] on the 20th ult. at the residence of Aaron Hackley Sarah Scott in the 91st year of her age.

In Cherry Valley [Otsego Co. NY] on the 22d ult. Mrs. Lucy Paddock wife of Mr. William Paddock in the 58th year of her age.

In the town of Cherry Valley [Otsego Co. NY] on the 26th ult. at the residence of Mr. Anthony Van Alstine, Jane Kelder wife of Abraham Kelder, deceased, aged 86 years.

Death

At the residence of her father in DeRuyter [Otsego Co. NY] on Monday the 20th ult. Sara A. Hills of this city [Oneonta, Otsego Co. NY] wife of A.G. hills and daughter of Nehemiah and Anne Merritt, aged 25 years.  It will be recollected that Mr. Hills was a resident of this village for a short time last year.

In Lacon, Ill. on Sunday Sept. 9th, Lizzie [Lyon] second daughter of J.M. and H.A. Lyon aged 2 years 6 months and 22 days, formerly of this place.

At Fly Creek [Otsego Co. NY] Sept. 15th, Thomas T. Higby, aged 64 years 9 months and 20 days.

In Morris [Otsego Co. NY], Sept. 9th after a long illness, Mrs. Geo. N. Goodrich aged 61 years.

In Afton [Chenango Co. NY] on Friday night, Sept. 6th, 1878, Mrs. Jane Bryant of Gilbertsville [Otsego Co. NY] aged 84 years.

The following aged people live in Thurston Hill School District, no. 10 in the town of Springfield [Otsego Co. NY]:  Andrew Gilchrist, aged 92 years; Wm. Thayer, aged 85 years; Mary D. White, aged 83 years; Abigail Thurston, aged 83 years; Philura Thurston, aged 83 years; Linus Thurston, aged 81 years; Horace Coleman, aged 78 years.  The number of aged people living in Otsego County is testimony of a healthful climate.
