At Gilbertsville [Otsego Co. NY] Wednesday Sept. 3d by Rev. J.V.C. Nellis, assisted by Rev. S.H. Moon of Penn., Fitch Gilbert to Caroline Lathrop Gilbert all of Gilbertsville, N.Y.

Deaths

Suddenly, it is thought from heart disease, on the 20th inst. George B. Tunnicliff of Five Mile Point [Broome Co. NY], in the 25th year of his age.  He was a printer and learned his trade in this office [Cooperstown, Otsego Co. NY].  He was popular with his associates and was a young man of kind heart and generous impulses.

In Richfield Springs [Otsego Co. NY] Sept. 6, Miss Nancy Conklin aged 79 years.

In Delhi [Delaware Co. NY] Sept. 3, Dexter Pattengill aged 58 years.  Mr. P. was a native of Morris [Otsego Co. NY].

Near Edmeston Center [Otsego Co. NY] Sept. 3d, 1879, Mrs. Charlotte Doolittle aged 71 years and 11 mos.

In Butternuts [Otsego Co. NY] Sept. 7, Mary [Wilson] wife of E. Wilson aged about 56 years.

In Worcester [Otsego Co. NY] Sept. 4, Mrs. J.P. Russ aged 82 years and 6 mos.

In Sterling, Ill. Sept. 1,';79, Clarissa [Brainard] Aged 65 years.  Mrs. B. was a native of Otsego [Otsego Co. NY] and a former resident of this village [Cooperstown, Otsego Co. NY], but for the past 25 years has been a resident of Sterling.

In Guilford [Chenango Co. NY], Sept. 15, Mrs. Eliza Ames of Unadilla [Otsego Co. NY], aged 74 years.

In Masonville [Delaware Co. NY] Sept. 15 Mrs. Orpha Scott aged 74 years.

In Milford [Otsego Co. NY] Sept. 8th, Chauncey Goodrich aged 73 years.

Mr. G., two years since, had a stroke of paralysis, from the effects of which he gradually declined. And truly has it been said that "man dieth and goeth to his rest."  Mr. G. has been a faithful member of the Christian church for forty years and in the fullness of years he has passed away with all the bright prospects in the beyond.

Simon E. Mayes of the D.&H. Canal Co. died suddenly on Monday last.
