Thus, has passed away from earth the gentle spirit that has entwined around her in life, the tenderest affections and love of a large circle of friends. In her character were harmoniously blended the true Christian virtues with decision, kindness, meekness, and love, and leaving to all the clear example of Christian hope; and the peace and light of a blessed immortality seemed to have settled upon her soul as she neared the close of life's journey; and as if breathing the sweet music of Heaven to her expiring moments, she sang praises to him who received her spirit, and all, to her, of earth was over.

Frank Morse, son of the late Oliver Morse, died in Cherry valley on Monday morning. He was about 40 years of age.
