Frozen to Death: A man named Hazard Smith was frozen to death on Friday night, the 5th, near East Worcester, Otsego County [NY]. He left East Worcester, about 11 o'clock at night with his sleigh and horses for his home on South hill, rather the worse for liquor. About a mile from the village his team left the road and wandered into some bushes and stopped. He was not found until Saturday night, and then some 20 rods from the team, had his coat, vest and boots off, and laid on his back on the snow with his hands folded across his breast. He was about 70 years of age.
