Older Bainbridge NY Citizens Honored, 1986

Bainbridge, Chenango Co., NY Celebrates Bicentennial by Honoring Older Citizens

Daniel Bristol, Sr., receives a plaque for being the gentleman who has lived the longest in Bainbridge--83 years.  He once owned a large farm on the Guilford Road which is now a residential area.  He still [in 1986] is an active poultry judge and travels to perform his judging duties.  Presenter is Thorton Young.

 
Charlah Skinner receives a plaque for being the lady who has lived the longest in Bainbridge--85 years.  Making the presentation is Thornton Young, Town of Bainbridge Councilman and co-chairman of the Bicentennial festivities.  She and her father once owned the Ireland Hardware in Bainbridge.  She also taught school for many years.  She is very active [1986] in the Bainbridge Episcopal Church.
