Mr. Stephen M. Yale of Minneapolis, Minn., who has been visiting friends in Bainbridge [Chenango Co., NY] and vicinity for two weeks, left with his family today, for home, going by way of Montreal taking in numerous points of interest in Canada. Mr. Yale is a son of Uriah Yale, deceased of Guilford [Chenango Co., NY], and left that town seventeen years ago for the West. He located first in Wausau, Wisconsin, and immediately became associated with a firm manufacturing sash, doors, blinds, etc. Here he remained until six years ago when he removed to Minneapolis, where he has a large interest in a house established for the sale and importation of the goods manufactured in Wausau, Wis. The two establishments are intimately connected, the Minnesota house being the outcome of the other. The firm name is Curtis & Yale Co., the money involved in one year's transactions being $500,000. Mr. Yale has been remarkably successful in his undertakings and has the push and energy of the typical western man. He is a brother of Isaac Yale and Mrs. B.Y. Cooper of Bainbridge.
