In Afton [Chenango Co., NY], on the 1st inst., by Edgar Garret, Esq., Mr. Hial Munson, of Bainbridge [Chenango Co., NY], and Miss Jane Higby, of Afton.

In Binghamton [Broome Co., NY], on the 20th ult. by Rev. Mr. Narlal, W.H. Race of Binghamton, and Miss Lina Woolard, of Washington, D.C.

Deaths

In Owego, N.Y [Tioga Co.] on the 7th inst., Mrs. Ann Topin [Atherton], wife of Charles Atherton, formerly of this village [Greene, Chenango Co., NY], aged 38 years.  Her remains were brought to this place for interment on Tuesday last.

In Smithville Flats [Chenango co., NY], on the 2d inst., Mrs. Pharsallia Scott, aged 43 years.

In McDonough [Chenango Co., NY], on the 5th inst., Miss Anna L. Ward, aged 19 years.

In Oxford [Chenango Co., NY], on the 17th ult. Mrs. Lucia Symonds, wife of Dea. John Symonds aged 78 years.

In Bainbridge [Chenango Co., NY], on the 29th ult. Miss A.E. Treadway aged 24 years.

In Whitesboro, [Oneida Co., NY] on the 11th, ins.t by Rev. J.B. Hubbard, Mr. Thos. Moore, of McDonough [Chenango Co., NY] to Miss Elizabeth DeShon of the former place.

Death

In Binghamton [Broome Co., NY], on the 5th inst., Mr. Cyrus Strong, formerly of Norwich [Chenango Co., NY] in the 89th year of his age.

The remains of N.J. Wheeler, Esq., arrived here [Greene, Chenango Co., NY] last week for permanent interment, from Bath, N.Y., where he died on the 4th of June last.  He was formerly a resident of this town.
