Deaths

In this village [Greene, Chenango Co., NY], on the 26th inst., Miss Mary P. [Ripley], daughter of Maj. W.C. and Hannah Ripley, aged 21` years.  It seems but as yesterday, that we saw this young lady, to all appearances, walking in our midst, full of health and joyousness.  But she has gone. The disease that terminated her existence, while yet in the morning of life, baffled the skill of our most eminent physicians, and she finally passed "beyond the river," and now walks the golden strands of the new Jerusalem. This is a very sad blow to her parents, but they have the heart-felt sympathy of our entire community in this their hour of sore affliction.
