The marriage of Miss Georgina Mary Seizer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis J. Seizer, Earlville [Madison Co. NY], and Ensign Burton Frederick Inglis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rexford Inglis, of Shortsville, took place Thursday, Jan. 28, 1943 at the Sacred Heart Church, Notre Dame University, Ind. The Rev. Craddick performed the ceremony. The bride wore a powder blue silk crepe dress with a matching hat. She had a corsage of white camelias. The groom was attired in the regulation Ensign's uniform. They were attended by Dan Hurley, the groom's roommate and Mrs. Elizabeth Schoonover, sister of the best man. After a short wedding trip, Mrs. Inglis resumed her duties as a member of the faculty of Bainbridge Central School. Ensign Inglis reported in Miami, Fla., where he is stationed for the present time. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn A. Wyckoff, of Oneonta [Otsego Co., NY] and formerly of Bainbridge [Chenango Co., NY], announce the engagement of their daughter, Miss Lenore Persons, to Richard J. Stevenson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leslie H. Stevenson, of Schenevus [Otsego Co., NY], at an informal tea at their home recently. Miss Wyckoff is a junior at Cornell University, majoring in sociology. She is a member of the Women's cabinet and the Student board of CURW, chairman of the Ithaca Children's home, and a member of the Hostess' committee of Willard Straight Hall. Mr. Stevenson was graduated form Colgate University, Dec. 13, with honors in geology. While at Colgate, he was a member of the Colgate Triangle, University bank, and on the Dean's list. While in Bainbridge Mr. Wyckoff owned and operated the Ives' Feed and Coal business. The building is now used by Chas. H. Eldred and co., Inc., for storage. Mr. and Mrs. W.B. Ruland, 2 Pleasant street, Sidney [Delaware Co. NY], announce the engagement of their daughter, Elsie Mary, to Ralph DeRoy Riley, son of Mrs. Anna E. Riley, Bainbridge [Chenango Co., NY]. Miss Ruland is a graduate of Sidney High School, Syracuse University and the School of Library Science at Syracuse. She holds the position of Children's Librarian, Endicott Public Library, Endicott. Mr. Riley is a graduate of Bainbridge Central High School and attended Hartwick College. In February, he was graduated from the Machinists' Mates School at Great Lakes, Ill., as Firemen First Class, U.SN.R., and has been spending a short leave in Sidney. Miss Velma Micha, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Micha, of Johnson City, R.D.1 [Broome Co., NY], was married to Private James M. Taft, U.S. Army, son of Mr. and Mrs. Darwin Taft, of Bainbridge [Chenango Co., NY], Saturday afternoon Feb. 13 at the English Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Binghamton. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. C.A. Ritchie. A recital of organ music of bridal selections, and compositions of the bridegroom, were presented preceding the ceremony. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a two-piece street length dress of robin's egg blue crepe, trimmed with lace and a dubonnet hat with veil. Her corsage was of gardenias and violets. She also wore a strong of pearls, a gift from the bridegroom. The maid of honor, Miss Irene Micha, sister of the bride, was attired in turquoise crepe dress with a pink hat with veil. Her corsage was of pink roses and carnations. The best man was Joseph Nasal, and the ushers were Frederick Micha, a cousin of the bride, and Darwin Taft, Jr., brother of the bridegroom. Mrs. Micha, mother of the bride, chose a beige crepe dress with black accessories and a yellow rose corsage. Mrs. Taft, mother of the bridegroom, wore black crepe with a red rose corsage. Following the ceremony a reception for members of the two families was held at the home of the bride's parents. The bride's table was decorated in pink and white color scheme, and the table was centered with a beautiful wedding cake. The couple went to Syracuse for a short wedding trip, and are at home to their many friends at 3 Walnut street, Binghamton. Mr. Taft was employed in the office of Borden's research laboratory, Bainbridge, previous to her marriage. Pvt. Taft is attached to the Army Recruiting Office in Binghamton.
