A son was born to Rev. and Mrs. E. Kilpatrick, of Bainbridge [Chenango Co., NY], Sept. 17th.  Mr. Kilpatrick is a former pastor of the M.E. church in this village, and our people will recognize his keen humor in the manner in which he announced the arrival of the little one to his Thursday evening prayer meeting congregation.  "If I were to speak from a text this evening," said he, "I might appropriately select the verse which reads 'Unto us a child is born; unto us a son is given.' Born to George Frank and wife, Bainbridge, Sunday, a girl:  weight 9-3/4 pounds. [May 6, 1894]
