Ransom Herrick Celebrates 90th Birthday
Bainbridge News & Republican, Oct. 15, 1942

Mr. and Mrs. Ransom Herrick entertained their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren at a birthday dinner, recently, in honor of Mr. Herrick's 90th birthday.  Despite his age, Mr. Herrick is in fairly good health, reads without the aid of glasses, and enjoys exchanging hunting tales with his old friends.  He received many cards, letters and gifts on his birthday.  Among those present were Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Herrick and son, Glenn, and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Herrick, of West Bainbridge; Mr. and Mrs. Lee Herrick and daughter, Betty, and son, Lloyd, of Binghamton; Mt. and Mrs. Lynn Hubbard and daughter, Patricia, of West Bainbridge; and Harry Herrick and sons, Richard and Malcolm, of Bainbridge.  Mrs. Harry Herrick, on account of illness; and Everett Herrick, who is with the U.S. Navy, were unable to attend.
