Pictured this week is another young Bainbridge serviceman, Pvt. Robert H. Knowles, who enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. and left in early August to report for duty and is now in training at Parris Island, South Carolina, Marine Training Base.
While in Bainbridge, Bob worked at the Dry Milk Co. and later at the Sidney Scintilla Magneto Corp. and made his home with Ivan Risedorph, at 14 Evans street, Bainbridge. Bob is the son of Lloyd Knowles, of Whitesboro, and enlisted at the Albany Marine recruiting headquarters.
