News Item

Deserted from the recruiting rendezvous in the town of Eaton, county of Madison [NY] on the 30th inst.  Andrew Crowl, born in Newfane (VT.) aged 18 years, 6 feet high, light complexion, light eyes, brown hair, and by profession a farmer.  Whoever will take up said deserter and large him in any gaol or deliver him at any military post within the U. In Harpersfield [Delaware Co. NY] in this county on the -?- instant, Mrs. Abiah Hall, aged 67 years, consort of Daniel J. Hall, late deceased.  In her was to be found the qualifications of an affectionate wife, a tender mother and a shining light in the Methodist Episcopal Church.

JOYCE:  In Oneida [Madison Co. NY] July 18, Mrs. Mary A. Joyce wife of Joseph Joyce of Utica [Oneida Co. NY] aged 31 years and 5 months.

PARKER:  In Pratt's Hollow [Madison Co. NY], July 11 at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Lodwick Stanton, Mrs. Alba Parker, widow of Joel Parker aged 76 years.  Her funeral was attended from the grove of her son-in-law on Thursday.  She leaves a large circle of friends and relatives to mourn her loss.
