Marriages

On the 30th ult. by Rev. J.H. Carruth, Mr. John K. Leaning to Miss Jane E. Gross all of Cherry Valley [Otsego Co. NY].

In this town [Cherry Valley, Otsego Co. NY, on the 30th ult. by Rev. J. Ransom, Mr. Jacob B. Van Dewaraker to Miss Almira Peeso, both of this town.

Deaths

In Cooperstown [Otsego Co. NY], on the 29th ult. Mrs. Mary Graves aged 84 years, consort of Mr. Abner Graves, one of the early settlers of the place and an excellent wife and mother.

Another Revolutionary Patriot Gone:  Died at Petersburgh on Thursday, 27th ult. in the 85th year of his age, Budd Steward, a soldier of the Revolutionary Army, and a pensioner, and the last of that gallant and veteran band in Petersburgh [Rensselaer Co. NY].  Mr. Steward served nine months under Col. Marinus Willett and arrived at Schoharie a few hours after that village was burned.  He was in several battles that Willett fought with the Indians along the valley of the Mohawk.

In Springfield [Otsego Co. NY], on the 10th inst. by the Rev. Mr. Barrett, Mr. Edwin Clark of this town [Cherry Valley, Otsego Co. NY] to Miss Catharine A. Reed of Middlefield [Otsego Co. NY].

Death

In this town [Cherry Valley, Otsego Co. NY] on the 10th inst., Mary [Jones] daughter of Lorenzo and Mary Jones, aged 4 years and 22 days.

At Utica [Oneida Co. NY] on the 10th inst. Mrs. Prudence H. Whitaker [Jones] wife of Mr. Edward B. Jones, aged 27 years and 7 months.

On the 12th inst. by the Rev. Mr. Pegg, Mr. Alphonzo Wetmore of Canajoharie [Montgomery Co. NY], to Miss Mary Pegg of Palatine [Montgomery Co. NY].

Also, at the same time, by the smae, Justus F. Wetmore of Fort Plain [Montgomery Co. NY], to Miss Rhoda Bailey of Canajoharie [Montgomery Co. NY].

In this town [Cherry Valley, Otsego Co. NY] on the 5th inst. Delphene [Smith] daughter of Ezekiel and Altana Smith, in the 4th year of her age.
