Yates of the Episcopal church of Cooperstown performed the ceremony before a large gathering of relatives and friends.  Mr. Carl Johnson a brother of the groom sang "At Dawning I Love You."  Promptly at 8:30 to the strains of Lohengrin, played by Mr. Robert Hyers of Mt. Upton, the bride entered on the arm of her father becomingly gowned in white crepe-de-chine trimmed with pearls, and wore a long tulle veil on which were arranged orange blossoms and she carried bridal roses and orchids.  The bridesmaid, Miss Gladys Jones wore orchid crepe-de-chine with hat to match and carried pink roses.  John McMoon of Cooperstown acted as best man.  Following the ceremony a reception was held after which light refreshments were served.  the tables were decorated with pink and white carnations.  The newly wedded couple departed for a short wedding trip to Buffalo and other points of interest.  [Bainbridge Republican, Nov. 22, 1923]
