Utica Saturday Globe,  March 1900

Mrs. B.W. Stover

Norwich [Chenango Co., NY], March 15:  The Globe has had the privilege of chronicling the success of several Norwich musicians in other and larger spheres but none has given it greater pleasure than the favor that is being met with in New York city by one of the most popular Norwich sopranos, Mrs. B.W. Stover,  Mrs. Stover possesses a rich, melodious voice, as her many Norwich admirers know, and it is not to be wondered at that her talents are appreciated and attracting attention elsewhere.  On Sunday morning last Mrs. Stover assisted the choir and sang the offertory in Dr. Judson's Memorial Baptist church on Washington square, one of the most prominent and wealthy churches in the city.  In the evening she assisted the choir and rendered a solo at the Tabernacle Congregational Church, of which Dr. H.R. Palmer is musical director.  Mrs. Stover has been in New York for some time pursuing her musical studies and it is safe to say that her popularity and advancement are enhanced in no small degree by her amiable refinement and pleasing personality.
