Cook - Beaver

Charles Cook, formerly of Bainbridge [Chenango Co., NY], who has resided in Binghamton [Broome Co., NY] for about five years or more, was married in that city on the 29th ult to Miss Kate Beaver.  The ceremony was conducted by the Rev Dr. Park, and the bridal presents were many and handsome. Charlie's friends consider he has had a very successful hunt in trapping the Beaver, which in fur markets is considered the best of pelts.

Mr. and Mrs. Ivey W. Doolittle of 1 Chapman St. Binghamton [Broome Co., NY], were honored at an open house celebration of their 65th wedding anniversary yesterday. Their daughter, Mrs. Charles Meredith, was hostess for the event.  The couple were married on Jan. 4, 1887, in South Windsor, NY [Broome Co.], which is the birthplace of Mrs. Doolittle.  Mr. Doolittle was born in Ouaquaga, NY, and the couple resided there until 11 years ago when they came to Binghamton.  Mr. Doolittle was owner of the Doolittle Lumber Yard at Oquaga, and also built many of the cottages in the lake region.  Mr. and Mrs. Doolittle who are both 88 years old, have three daughters, Mrs. Meredith, who resides at the Chapman Street address; Mrs. Virge Livingston of Belden, N.Y. and Mr. Ray Hurlburt of Chenango Bridge.
 
Wagner - Hager

In the Masonville [Delaware Co., NY] Federated church at 2 o'clock Saturday, Nov. 21, 1959, Miss Barbara Hope Hager, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.. George Hager, was married to Dale Richard Wagner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Wagner, Rev. Harry Palmer officiated.  Candelabra and bouquets of white and yellow chrysanthemums decorated the church.  Archie Wood was soloist, accompanied by Mrs. Louis Willis, organist.  Escorted by her father, the bride was attired in a blue, street-length sheath dress, with white collar and cuffs, and carried white roses on a white Bible.  Maid of honor for her sister, Miss Linda Hager wore a two-piece, beige street-length dress, and a corsage of yellow pompons.  Norman Church was best man for his brother. A reception for immediate family and friends was held in the church dining room, following the ceremony.  Mrs. Archie Wood was hostess.  Mrs. Greta Paveglio and Mrs. Edward Frank served.  For the wedding trip, the bride wore a turquoise and brown plaid sheath dress.  Mrs. Wagner graduated from Sidney Central school and attended Wilson Memorial.  Her husband attended Deposit and Sidney Central schools.  He is a farmer.
