Rosher - Mulligan
Married June 17, 1939, Norwich, NY
Miss Mary Agnes Mulligan, daughter of Joseph P. mulligan of 62 Rexford street [Norwich, Chenango Co., NY], and Michael Rosher of Oneonta [Otsego Co., NY] were united in marriage Saturday night at 6:30 o'clock at St. Paul's church [Norwich]. Rev. Francis Murphy, assistant pastor of St. Paul's, performed the ceremony.  Attending the bride was Miss Dorothy Short, of Oneonta, while Anthony Rosher, of Oneonta, acted as his brother's best man.  Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the bride's home for the bridal party and close friends. The couple left Saturday night for a wedding trip to the New York World's Fair.  Upon their return, Mr. and Mrs. Rosher will reside in Oneonta.   Mr. Rosher is employed at the Fox Memorial Hospital, in Oneonta, where Mrs. Rosher has been associated with the nursing staff.

Rose - Carpenter
Married February 14, 1942, White Store, NY
Bernard E. Rose, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elwyn C. Rose of White Store [Chenango Co., NY] and Miss Arleen E. Carpenter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Carpenter of Mt. Upton [Chenango Co., NY], were united in marriage at the Rose home on Saturday evening, Feb. 14th, by the Rev. Louis V.S. Hutton. Several relatives and friends were present.  Mr. Rose is a certified construction worker and has joined the U.S Army and is leaving for South America in the near future where he expects to teach others in that respective line. The good wishes of the community go with the happy couple.

Walrath - Guile
Married September 24, 1937, Massena, NY
Miss Ula Guile, daughter of Mrs. Clayton Smith of Oxford [Chenango Co., NY] became the bride of Eugene Walrath, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Walrath of 261 Medford Road, Syracuse [Onondaga Co., NY], at the home of the bride's aunt, Mrs. Edward Tefft, Massena, N.Y. [St. Lawrence Co.], at three o'clock, Friday, Sept. 24. Rev. Kenneth Stewart pastor of Kirkville Methodist church, read the services.  Mrs. Wallace Ford was matron of honor, and Wallace Ford was best man.  Mrs. Tanner of Kirkville payed the wedding music and her sister, Mrs. Ray Nolta, sang "O Promise Me" and "I Love You Truly."  The bride was given in marriage by her uncle, Edward Tefft. She wore white silk organdy and lace with a halo of gardenias and white accessories and carried pink roses.  Her attendant wore pink silk organdy with white accessories and carried pink gladioli. A reception followed the ceremony after which the happy couple left for a short trip thru the Adirondacks. They will live at 261 Medford Road, Syracuse.  Their many friends wish the much happiness.

Roberts - Wilkes
Married January 31, 1942
On Saturday, January 31, Miss Phyllis Wilkes of North Norwich [Chenango Co., NY] and Frederick Roberts were married by the Rev .Whitney Ward. Attendants were Miss Charlotte Wilkes, sister of the bride, and Whitney Ward, Jr.,  After a reception at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Snover, the bride and groom left for their new home at Mohawk, N.Y.

Rickes - Kinne
Married June 28, 1930, Oneonta, NY
In a quiet wedding solemnized Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. Ralph Kinne, 107 Elm street, Oneonta [Otsego Co., NY], by Rev. Dr. Edson J. Farley of the First Baptist church, Miss Winnifred Esther Kinne became the bride of Henry Anton Rickes, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. H.A. Rickes of Pleasantville [Westchester Co., NY].  Following an automobile tour of the state, the young couple will be at home at 99 Smith avenue, Mt. Kisco, where the congratulations and best wishes of wide circles of friends will attend them.. The bride is a graduate of Oneonta High school, in the class of 1924, and of the Oneonta Normal school, class of 1927.  For the past three years she has been a teacher in the public schools at Mt. Kisco. The groom completed his high school work at Pleasantville and has been connected for some time with the Swartout and Buxon company of New York city. The Kinne family formerly lived in Gilbertsville and will be remembered by many friends - Otsego Journal
