In Cooperstown [Otsego Co. NY] on the 31st October, Ella Elizabeth [Noble] wife of John H Noble and daughter of Dr. Parley E. Johnson.

In Oneonta [Otsego Co. NY] Nov. 1st, Mrs. Rodney Emmons aged 41 years.

In West Laurens [Otsego Co. NY] Oct. 29th, Ezra Blanchard formerly of North Franklin [Delaware Co. NY] aged 48 years.

Deaths

DELONG:  In Schenevus [Otsego Co. NY] July 20, Alanson C. Delong aged 58 years.

WILBUR:  In Schenevus [Otsego Co. NY] July 20, Polly Wilbur aged 83 years.

LUTHER:  In Morris [Otsego Co. NY] July 23, Mr. Moses H. Luther aged 72 years and 7 months.

Last Wednesday at his residence on Grove Street, Mr. Moses H. Luther died.  He had not been feeling as well as usual the Sunday before and several times during the day took morphine, as was his custom when unwell.  He accidently took an overdose and soon lost consciousness.  It was so long before he could be aroused and being in a very weak state, it was impossible for his physician to save his life.  Mr. Luther has been a resident of this village about 30 years. during the last ten years of his life he had been continually failing, suffering from palsy and probably would not have lived a great while, even if he had recovered from this last prostration, being over 70 years of age.  He leaves a wife in this village, two sons, G.R. Luther in Iowa and W.H. Luther in Wisconsin, and one daughter in Cincinnatus, Cortland County [NY].
