Miss Marjorie Ellen Dixon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard LaRue Dixon was married Friday, August 10th to Mr. George Morris Mudge at the home of her parents, by the grooms uncle, Rev. Henry D. Smith of Green Island, N.Y. in the presence of the immediate families. A luncheon followed at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alden Mudge, after which the couple left for a trip to New York and Connecticut. The bride is a graduate of Afton Central School and is a Junior at Syracuse University. The groom is a graduate of Salisbury School and Yale University and is a partner at Mudge and sons. Miss Janice Weeks, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Ray Weeks of Afton [Chenango Co., NY] was married to Pfc. Thomas Wilson of Woodmere, L.I., last Thursday evening. August 9th by Rev. Alan Douglas pastor of the local Baptist church. Pfc. Wilson who has recently returned from the European Theatre of war will return to military service and Mrs. Wilson will continue with her position in Bainbridge [Chenango Co., NY].
