William Sweet

Funeral services for the late William Sweet, who died at the Bainbridge hospital Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock, were held from the Colwell funeral chapel Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with burial in the cemetery at West Bainbridge [Chenango Co., NY]. The Masons had charge of the burial. Mr. Sweet was born in Coventry [Chenango Co., NY], the son of Cyrus and Fayette Sweet in 1857. He lived alone and neighbors not seeing him about his home for a day or so, investigated and found him Tuesday morning lying across his bed in an unconscious condition, from which he failed to rally. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Adah Teachout of Afton and Mrs. Charles Jacobs of Greene; one grandson, Lewis Pratt of Coventry and by several nieces and nephews.
Elizabeth (Saunders) Tuttle

Mrs. Elizabeth Tuttle who has been sick for some time passed away Thursday, Jan. 26, aged 66 years. She was a daughter of the late John Saunders. She has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Washington Ingersoll, for several years who tenderly cared for her during all her illness. The funeral services were held Sunday, Jan. 28th, at the residence of Mr. Ingersoll, Rev. Mr. McIntyre officiating. The interment was made at West Bainbridge [Chenango Co., NY].
Marie Vernetta (Franklin) Van Horne

Sidney [Delaware Co., NY]: Mrs. Marie Vernetta Van Horne died at he Sidney Hospital Thursday. She had been confined to the hospital since May 17 with a broken hip. She was born at Bainbridge [Chenango Co., NY] May 18, 1865, the daughter of George and Evaline (Greene) Franklin. She was married to David P. Van Horne at Bainbridge, who died several years ago. Mrs. Van Horne had resided in Bainbridge for the last three years coming there from Brooklyn, N.Y. She is survived by a son, Egbert Van Horne of Sidney; a son, Eugene P. Van Horne of Brooklyn; a daughter, Evelyn H. Van Horne of New York; one granddaughter, Mrs. P.G. Buker of Sidney and two great granddaughters, Evelyn and Carol Buker of Sidney. The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Carr and Landers Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Harry Brooks, pastor of the Methodist church, Bainbridge, officiating. Burial will be in the West Bainbridge cemetery.
James M. Warner

The body of James M. Warner, 57 years, who disappeared from this city Thursday afternoon, was found beside the Delaware and Hudson tracks a mile beyond Duanesburg, by a train crew, about 7 o'clock yesterday morning. Death appeared to have been due to exhaustion and exposure. Coroner A.G. Baxter was notified and went to Duanesburg to make an investigation. Warner, who came here from Bainbridge, N.Y., was visiting his nephew, W.H. Williams, of 335 Veeder avenue. Thursday he was downtown to visit a barber and later started for a walk. It is supposed he became confused and walked until he dropped from exhaustion. He was a veteran of the Civil war. The body was taken to undertaking rooms at Delanson and will be shipped to Bainbridge, where the funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon.
Jesse A. Warner

WARNER: In this city [Schenectady, NY], on June 11, 1918, Jesse A. [Warner], aged 51 years. Funeral services will beheld from the chapel of Timeson and Fronk, 134 State street Saturday afternoon at 1:45 o'clock, to which relatives, friends and members of the Machinists' Union No. 204 are invited. Interment at West Bainbridge, N.Y. [Chenango Co.].
Bainbridge Republican, June 20, 1918
The body of Jesse Warner of Schenectady, was brought to Bainbridge, Sunday and interred in West Bainbridge cemetery. Brief services were conducted at the grave by Rev. O.L. Buck. Mr. Warner was a brother of Mrs. F.B. Payne of Bainbridge and a nephew of the late James A. Warner.
