Lila Aldrich
Died November 4, 1942 in Vernon Center, NY
Mrs. Lila Aldrich, aged 71, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 4 at the Maple Park Home, Vernon Center [Oneida Co. NY], after a long illness.  She is survived by her husband, Lester Aldrich, one daughter, Mrs. Robert Patton of Oneonta, two sons, William Aldrich of Seneca Falls, Marshal Aldrich of Washington, D.C., and one brother, Jesse Norton of Norwich.  The funeral will be held at The Maple Park Home at 1 p.m. Friday with burial in the White Store cemetery [Norwich, Chenango Co., NY].
Alice Belle Ainsworth
September 1, 1871 - April 8, 1959 (Preston, NY)
The death of Miss Alice Belle Ainsworth, a former resident here, occurred Saturday night following a long period of failing health.  The daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert Ainsworth, she was born in New Berlin [Chenango Co., NY], September 1, 1871.  Miss Ainsworth, who resided for several years in this city with the late Myrtle Edelman, was a member of the Rebekah Lodge of South New Berlin.  Her nearest survivor is a cousin, Mrs. Laura Gilcher of Syracuse.  Funeral services will be held from the Breese Funeral Home at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning.  Rev. D.G. DeBoer, pastor of the First Congregational church will officiate.  Burial will be made in South New Berlin.

Nellie A. Dyer
Died April 9, 1937 in Binghamton, NY
Mrs. Frank M. Dyer of 51 Main Street died at 9 o'clock Friday morning in the Binghamton City Hospital [Broome Co., NY] after a short illness.  She is survived by her husband, Dr. Frank M. Dyer; two sons, Howard S. Dyer of Binghamton and R. Stuart Dyer of Cornell Medical Center, New York City; one daughter, Dorothy Dyer of Binghamton; two brothers, Arthur W. Alexander of Binghamton and Wilber R. Alexander of Conklin Road; one sister, Mrs. H.I. Johnston of Binghamton. The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at her home. The Rev. Wilson E. Tanner will officiate. Burial will be in Floral Park Cemetery. Arrangements by Frank L. DeMunn.

The funeral of Mrs. Frank M. Dyer was held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon from her home, 51 Main Street.  The Rev. Wilson E. Tanner officiated.  The pallbearers were Dr. Charles M. Allaben, Dr. Perry Shaw, Dr. V.W. Bergstrom, Dr. George S. Lape, Charles Worden and George Young. Burial was in Floral Park Cemetery [Johnson City, Broome Co., NY].

Death Notices

Mrs. William Allen occurred at her home near Dimock Hollow Wednesday afternoon, April 17, 1912, at 3 o'clock.  She had been ill two or three weeks and her death was due to heart disease.  Her age was 63 years.  A husband and children survive.  Funeral will occur from the late home Saturday, at 1 o'clock.  [Melissa D. MESICK:  The funeral of Mrs. Harriet E. Mesick will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the J.F. Rice Funeral Home, 150 Main Street, Johnson City. The Rev. Lloyd S. Ruland will officiate.  Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.  [d. 9 April 1937, Binghamton, NY]

The funeral of Charles Ward was held at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Will Teft, Sunday afternoon, at 2 o'clock, Rev. M.R. Weaver, of liberty, officiating.  There were many floral pieces.  Burial was in the cemetery in South New Berlin.  [Charles I. Ward, d. 5 Aug. 1937, Norwich, NY]

ARNOLD:  At Preston [Chenango Co., NY], April 10, 1918, Mrs. Frances J. Arnold, aged 72 years.  Funeral April 15 and interment in White Store cemetery [Norwich, Chenango Co. NY].

GAGE:  At Sidney [Delaware Co., NY], April 7, 1918, Leon C. Gage, aged 16 years.  Funeral April 10 and burial at South New Berlin [Chenango Co., NY].

DOOLITTLE:  At Latham's Corners, N.Y. [Chenango Co.], April 22, 1905, of tuberculosis, Nelson Doolittle, aged 19 years.

Mrs. Russel Wheeler who formerly resided here. died at her home near the village of Morris [Otsego Co., NY] on Monday of this week.  Jared Bailey, Rev. L.E. Wheeler and others from this vicinity attended the funeral which was held on Thursday.  [Flora Wheeler, d. 5 Feb. 1917, Morris, NY]
