In Greene [Chenango Co., NY], Dec. 24th, Mr. George S. Morse, aged 37 years.

Passed to the "Higher Life," in South Otselic [Chenango Co., NY], Nov. 28th, Mr. Nathaniel B. Peck, aged 71 years and 10 months.  Mr. Peck came from Dutchess County, N.Y., at an early day, and settled on a farm in Pharsalia, Chenango County [NY], whence he spent about forty years in the cultivation of the soil.  His life was quiet, harmonious and unassuming, and few men have acquired such a high place in the esteem of their fellow beings as he.  His gentleness of disposition and integrity of character won a loving response from all with whom he was thrown in contact.  A tender father, faithful husband and friend.  He has left a wife and one daughter to forever cherish his love, be proud of his many virtues and to await the time for a reunion in the "Better Land."
