LYON: In Bainbridge [Chenango Co. NY] March 3d, Mr. Charles Lyon, aged 94 years.
DARLING: In Lincklaen [Chenango Co. NY] March 2d, Mr. Elijah Darling aged 85 years.
PALMER: At the County House, March 12th, Mr. Stephen Palmer aged 76 years, formerly of Bainbridge [Chenango Co. NY].
SHERWOOD: In Bucyrus, Ohio, Feb. 26th, Mr. John G. Sherwood aged 46 years, 6 months, and 28 days, formerly of Norwich [Chenango Co. NY] and son of the late Asa T. Sherwood of Guilford [Chenango Co. NY].
HAND: Dr. S.D. Hand an old and much respected physician of Binghamton, dropped dead while awaiting the train for Cortland [Cortland Co. NY], at the depot in that city on Monday morning last. In early life he taught school and had among his pupils Samuel J. Tilden. Deceased was an uncle of Dr. S.M. Hand of this village [Norwich, Chenango Co. NY]. His age was seventy-three years.
PALMITER: A four-year-old son of C.R. Palmiter died of trichina a few days since.

Columbus, Chenango Co. NY
The angel of death has again passed by, and three more have fallen by his hand. Mahala Griffin died last Friday night at the residence of Oliver Myers. She was ninety-three years of age. The funeral occurred yesterday (Sunday).
Today occurs the funeral of Miss Ella Myers who also died Friday night, aged nineteen years. For more than a year she had suffered with throat and lung difficulties, which finally terminated in consumption. In the morning of life, while yet the flush of health was on her brow she became a Christian, and united with the M.E. Church. "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God."
Tomorrow the funeral services of the wife of George F. Blackman will be held. She died at her residence on Saturday morning last, aged 73 years. A good woman - a mother in Israel - has gone to her reward. For the greater part of her long life, her everyday walk was a beautiful illustration of the principles of our blessed religion, and when the Reaper came, he found her like a shock of corn fully ripe for the harvest.
Coventry, Chenango Co. NY
Death has made terrible inroads into the family of Samuel A. Martin, of Coventry [Chenango Co. NY], since the month of December last. On the 25th of that month, his daughter Georgianna [Phillips] wife of James H. Phillips, died of typhoid pneumonia. Her mother died a few days later, and now the father is gone, he having died on Sunday. All three died of the same disease. there are four children left, two daughters and two sons. Truly this is an afflicted family and they have the sympathy of the entire community - Chenango American
