Marriage
In Milford Centre [Otsego Co. NY] April 9th, 1879, at the house of the bride's parents by Rev. J.W. Ainsworth, Adelbert J. Preston and Belle Crandell.
Milford, Otsego Co. NY: Last Thursday evening, a large party of relatives and friends assembled at the residence Mrs. A.E. Sayer, of our village by invitation on the occasion of the marriage of her only daughter [Hattie Sayer] to S.W. Saxton, performed by their pastor, Rev. A.B. Richardson. The esteem and affection for the happy couple was attested by a large and costly selection of presents, among which was silver spoons, forks and butter dish, presented by the choir of the M.E. Church. It was a most enjoyable evening. The house was beautifully decorated with the choicest flowers, a bountiful supply of provisions were served, while the strains of music and song completed the circle of pleasure. Hearty congratulations were extended the bride and groom all of which we hope will be realized.
