Sarah M., wife of James H. Sinclair, local editor of the Chenango Union, died in Norwich on the 10th inst. after a lingering illness. Deceased was born in Cortland [Cortland Co. NY], Aug. 15th, 1824, and after her marriage with Mr. Sinclair, they came to Oxford in 1847. A change of business relations compelled them to remove to Norwich that year, where they have since resided. the Telegraph says:
Mrs. Sinclair was a most estimable woman, a devoted, loving wife, kind and indulgent mother, and a warm-hearted friend and neighbor. By her rare virtues and womanly qualities, she attracted a large circle of friends, who always found pleasant companionship in her society. at the time of her death, she was not connected with any religious denomination, but her blameless life, true Christian character and unceasing good works, gave evidence that the early profession was not forgotten, but cherished with a faith that it would be well with her.

A special dispatch from Whitney's Point, to the Binghamton Republican dated Feb. 2d says: As the passenger train going north was coming into the station this evening, two teams that had been drawing hay to R.S. Darrow's hay press near the depot, became frightened and started to run.
Ray Dillenbeck, who had charge of the first team, started in immediate pursuit of his team. The other pair of horses, belonging to Wallace Baker, came up very rapidly behind him, striking him (Dillenbeck) fairly in the back. He was thrown to the ground and either the horses' hoofs struck him, or the wheels of the wagon passed over his head, inflicting a terrible scalp wound. He expired in about five minutes. The deceased was an intelligent, active young man and was highly respected. He had lately been married. The parents of the deceased man live in German, Chenango County [NY] where his wife is engaged teaching. The friends and relatives will arrive tomorrow to take charge of the remains.
