Died in this village [Cazenovia, Madison Co. NY], very suddenly on Tuesday last, Henry Murdock aged 12 years, son of Mr. John Murdock.

On the 11th instant, an infant daughter of Doct. Kennedy.

On the same day, Capt. Blankman an aged gentleman who had recently emigrated from Holland to this country.

Deaths

At Fly Creek [Otsego Co. NY] Aug. 22d, John B. Northrup aged 87 years.  Mr. N. had been a respected citizen of the town of Otsego [Otsego Co. NY] for sixty-two years.

In Cherry Valley [Otsego Co. NY] Aug. 19th, of consumption, Estella [Van Valkenburg] daughter of Henry Van Valkenburg in the 19th year of her age.

In Roseboom [Otsego Co. NY], Aug. 18th, John R. Stevens aged 63 years.

In Otego [Otsego Co. NY] Aug. 14th Mary [Reagle]\ wife of Daniel Reagle, aged 40 years.

In East Worcester [Otsego Co., NY] Aug. 17th, Amos W. Campbell aged 48 years.

Mrs. Morgan, mother of Mrs. George A. Starkweather of New York, who has frequently visited Cooperstown, where she has many warm friends, died at her home last week.  When she went from here last summer, her physician had to go with her, as she was even then in very feeble health.

Captain William Newton died at Sherburne [Chenango Co. NY] on the 13th, at the age of ninety-two years.  He was the father of eleven children, one of whom is Professor H.A.  Newton of Yale College.

Horatio N. Todd was the eldest son of the late Ira Todd of Hartwick [Otsego Co. NY].  He was long connected with the business interests of Wenona, Ill., where he died a few days since in the 71st year of his age.  He was a man who was greatly esteemed in that community.
