As a daughter and sister, she may have been equaled, but never excelled.  Her exemplary life will sweeten the cup of affliction, and yield sweet consolation to her friends in their sad bereavement.

Sleep on, lovely lady! no more shall thou waken; / Thy body lies tenantless, cold and forsaken; / No more shall the arms of a parent enfold thee / No more shall the eye of affection behold thee.

Her funeral was attended by a numerous congregation of sympathizing friends and neighbors to whom was tendered the consolation of the Gospel by Rev. M. Crandall. [Mar. 14, 1849]
