STOWELL - GREGORY:  In Guilford [Chenango Co. NY], June 25, by Rev. T.P. Halstead, Mr. Chas. C. Stowell of Mexico, N.Y. [Oswego Co.], to Miss Alice L. Gregory of Guilford.

The wedding of Mr. Charles Stowell, of Mexico to Miss Alice, eldest daughter of Bradley Gregory took place at his residence June 25th at 12 o'clock.  At an early hour, the house being beautifully decorated with evergreens and flowers, some of which were sent from Rochester, was thronged with the many friends of the popular bride and worthy groom.  The marriage ceremony was impressively performed by Rev. T.P. Halstead, under a monogram, G. and S., composed of white roses.  The bride was tastefully attired in dark slate colored silk with satin trimmings, the groom in the usual appropriate suit of black. The bride's maid was Miss Annie Stowell of Brighton, and the bride's groom Mr. Plumber of Mexico. At the conclusion of the ceremony the pair received the hearty congratulations of many who appreciate the worth of the united pair.  The great beauty, variety and value of the presents attracted much attention.  A dinner was served and here words fail to express the profusion and abundance of good things provided.  Mrs. L. Trask Sage played a wedding march and Miss Minnie Bently also presided at the piano with charming skill.  Altogether it was one of the happiest and most enjoyable weddings ye correspondent has ever had the pleasure of attending.
