Married:  In Sherburne [Chenango Co., NY], on Tuesday morning the 20th inst. by Milo Hunt, Esq., Mr. Edmund Richards to Miss Minerva Fairman, eldest daughter of William S. Fairman, all of that place. [Sept. 7, 1831]

Married:  At Sherburne [Chenango Co., NY], on Sunday evening, the 4th inst. by the Rev. I.N. Sprague, Mr. Orson Billings of Smyrna [Chenango Co., NY] to Miss Sophronia Buel, of the former place. [Sept. 14, 1831]

Married:  In Otselic [Chenango Co., NY], on the 4th inst. Mr. Demas Hubbard, Jr., of Smyrna [Chenango Co., NY], to Miss Caroline Franklin, of Otselic. [Sept. 14, 1831]

Married:  In Plymouth [Chenango Co., NY], on Wednesday, the 7th inst. by the Rev. L. Clark, Mr. Almond Tower to Miss Mary Sexton [Sept. 14, 1831]

Married:  Also, at the same time and place, Mr. Wm. Tower to Miss Diana Sackett [Sept. 14, 1831]

Married:  At Sherburne [Chenango Co., NY], on Wednesday evening last, by the Rev. J.N. Sprague, Mr. Edwin Wells to Miss Laura Simonds, all of that place. [Sept. 28, 1831]

Married:  At the same place, last evening by the Rev. J.N. Sprague, Mr. Benjamin Skinner to Miss Harriet Pratt, daughter of Mr. William Pratt, all of that place. [Sept. 28, 1831]

Married:  On the 19th inst. Mr. Hinman Hinman of Sherburne [Chenango Co., NY], to Miss Polly Eddy, of Lebanon [Madison Co., NY]. [Sept. 28, 1831]

Married:  Also, at the same time, Mr. Jackson Hinman of Sherburne [Chenango Co., NY], to Miss Betsey Benton, of the same place. [Sept. 28, 1831]

Deaths

Died:  In Sherburne [Chenango Co., NY], very suddenly, on the 27th ult. Mr. Warren Catlin. [Aug. 10, 1931]

Died:  In this town [Norwich, Chenango Co., NY], on Saturday morning last, Mr. William Huntington, aged 28 years. [Aug. 17, 1831]

Died:  In this village [Norwich, Chenango Co., NY], on Monday morning last, Miss Delia Strong, youngest daughter of Cyrus Strong, esq., in the 15th year of her age. [Sept. 14, 1831]

Died:  In this town [Norwich, Chenango Co., NY], on the 9th ult. Mrs. Abigail Cooper, wife of Mr. Seth Cooper, aged 51 years. [Sept. 14, 1831]

Died:  In Preston [Chenango Co., NY], on Thursday, the 22d inst. Russel Maxon,, aged 61 years.  Judge Maxon was one of our most respectable citizens, one who will be missed by all who were acquainted with him.  He died perfectly resigned to leave this troublesome world, and in full faith of meeting his redeemer in glory beyond the grave.  Judge Maxon was esteemed by all who knew him, and will be universally lamented.  He was a warm friend, a kind and benevolent man.
