Died:  On the evening of the 21st inst. in this village, Charles W. Miller, after a severe and protracted sickness.  He had been for the last two years sole Editor and Proprietor of this paper, and until within a few days of his death, although he was too weak to write, he had selected matter for its columns.  While he was in health, he had conducted it with talent, and given his paper a character of which his friends were proud.  In the prime of life, with a vigorous and clear mind, and ripe judgement, life was beginning to open to him under the fairest auspices.  It had been chequered, it is true, for although but 23 years old at the time of his death, he had not been an idle or heedless spectator of the outrages which were committed in this county upon the person of William Morgan and his father. These scenes are all passed; his budding hopes and the fond expectations of his friends, and he had many, are buried in his grave.  Republican Advocate, of November 24, 1831
