Deaths

In this village [Oneonta, Otsego Co., NY] on the 24th ult. Mrs. Cynthia E. Uebel wife of C. Uebel in the 44th year of her age.

In this town [Oneonta, Otsego Co. NY] on the 27th ult. Mrs. Harriet Hand wife of Alexander Hand and daughter of Huntington Parish, aged 24 years.

At West Oneonta [Otsego Co. NY] on the 21st ult. Simon A. Stevens. The deceased had long been a resident of Oneonta.

Near Victoria, Knox Co. Ill. on the 16th ult. Hazok(?) Darius Olmsted in the 71st year of his age, formerly of Davenport, Del. Co. N.Y.

Deaths

In Oneonta [Otsego Co. NY] Feb. 17th, Ira Wallace [Ceperley] son of David and Polly Ann Ceperley, aged 9 years.

On the 28th of Feb. of consumption, Emily [Sessions] only daughter of Horace and Lydia Sessions, aged 20 years. Her hope in Christ was strong in death.

In this village [Oneonta, Otsego Co. NY] on the 7th inst. of an illness of three days with congestion of the brain, Frank Edgar [Newman] youngest son of S.S. Newman, aged 4 years.

At the house of the bride's father, on Thursday evening, March 10th, 1859, by Rev. Edwin Clement, Walter Van Hoesen to Miss Mary Brewer daughter of Peter Brewer, all of Davenport, del. Co. N.Y.

Death

A little girl named Bussy daughter of Solomon Bussy, who resides in the town of Sanford [sic], Delaware County, was burned to death last Thursday by her clothes taking fire. [Note: Sanford is in Broome County. The family of Solomon Bussy did live in Delaware County, but not in Sanford].

At Otego [Otsego Co. NY] March 21st by Rev. Wm. Church, Mr. Alanson Thomas, Jr. to Miss Mary A. Brewer all of Otego.

Death

Suddenly in New Lisbon [Otsego Co. NY] on the morning of the 17th inst. Mr. James Hewes in the 68th year of his age. Deceased was a native of Norfolk, England emigrated to this country in the year 1832.
