In Binghamton [Broome Co. NY], June 1st, 1858, at the residence of W.S. Smith, Esq, by Rev. Mr. Honrigan, Thomas W. Clark, Esq. of Norwich, N.Y. [Chenango Co.] to Maria [Dwyer] second daughter of the late George Dwyer, Esq., Ireland.

Marriage

At the residence of the bride's father, in the town of Lisle, Broome Co., N.Y. June 3, 1858, by Rev. D.A. Shepard of Waverly, Edward D. Rosie(?) United States Navy and Helen M. Adams daughter of Mr. Adams of Lisle.

Death

On the 5th of May last at Cannon River, Minnesota, John Chambers son of Mr. Benjamin Chambers of Union, Broome Co. N.Y. aged 21 years, 9 months and 10 days.

Marriage

In Maine [Broome Co. NY] on the 17th inst. by N.W. Fastman, Esq. Jarome Brown of Union [Broome Co. NY] to Miss Emelie(?) Howard of Glen Valley.

Death

In the town of Maine, Broome Co. N.Y., June 18, 1858, Mrs. Betsy [Smith] wife of Samuel M. Smith, aged 64 years.

The deceased was a native of Meridith Bridge, N.H. from which place with her husband she moved to the town of Union, Broome County about forty years ago.  She shared fully the fortunes and vicissitudes of the early settlement of the place in which she died and nobly performed her duty to her God, humanity and to her family who now deeply mourn the loss of a loved companion and the best of mothers.

In Delhi [Delaware Co. NY] April 9, by Rev. J.H. Robinson, R.R. Dibble of Meredith [Delaware Co. NY] and Miss Ada Stevens of Delhi.

At Norwich [Chenango Co. NY] by Rev. C.C. Williams, Irving H. Pride of Milford [Otsego Co. NY] and Miss Callie L. Brooks.

Deaths

In Hobart [Delaware Co. NY], April 6, Jacob Schutt aged 85 years.

In Andes [Delaware Co. NY], April 4, Hugh Clark, aged 72 years.

In Middletown, April 5, Hon. Warren Dimmick aged about 71 years.  He was one of the Members of Assembly from Delaware Co. in 1857.

In Oneonta [Otsego Co. NY] April 8th, Bridget [Hynes] wife of Patrick Hynes, aged 33 years.

The death of Mrs. Patrick Hynes removes a very excellent woman, a devoted and prudent mother.  She died suddenly Monday night and was buried in Albany [Albany Co. NY] Wednesday afternoon. The funeral here was largely attended by both catholics and protestants.

In Oneonta [Otsego Co. NY] April 3d, Infant child [Couse] of James Couse.

In Cooperstown [Otsego Co. NY] April   4, Abijah Adams aged 76 years.

In Cooperstown [Otsego Co. NY] April 2, William Duggleby aged 75 years.

At Fly Creek [Otsego Co. NY] April 6, Mrs. Jennette Taylor aged 75 years.

At Unadilla [Otsego Co. NY] April 6, Ida Williams aged 48 years.

At Sidney [Delaware Co. NY] April 8, Israel Snyder aged 63 years.

At Franklin [Delaware Co. NY] April 9th, Miss Nellie Harris aged 21 years.

T.J. Cole of Greene [Chenango Co. NY] died suddenly while transacting business in his store.

Har---- VanBuren an old man of Charlotteville [Schoharie Co. NY], died while walking in the street.

Mrs. Walter Elliott near Andes [Delaware Co. NY] died a few days since of starvation after refusing food for 21 days.

Hartwick, Otsego Co., NY:  George A. Chamberlain of this town, died of pleurisy last Saturday night.  Funeral services will occur at his former place of residence in Otsdawa [Otsego Co. NY] on Tuesday of the present week.  Mr. C. was a respected citizen and had lived to the advance age of 83 years.

Judge Hamilton W. Robinson of New York, a summer resident and large property owner at Worcester in this county [Otsego Co. NY], died Monday.  He was born in Hudson [Columbia Co. NY], graduated from Union College and read law with John VanBuren, in Albany.  During the latter's term of Attorney General, Mr. Robinson was his deputy.  From 1848 to 1858, the deceased was a law partner of Mr. VanBuren in New York. Afterward he was associated with Mr. Scribner, a native of Middleburgh.  In 1870, Mr. Robinson was elected judge of the Superior Court in New York for a term of 14 years.  Judge Daly of the Common Pleas is a son-in-law of the late Judge Robinson.  For several summers past these gentlemen have lived in Worcester and often brought with them many lawyers and judges of distinction. The remains of Judge Robinson reached Worcester yesterday.  He was 64 years of age.  Mrs. Robinson was thrown from a carriage at Worcester in 1867 and killed.
