In this village [Oxford, Chenango Co. NY] on Thursday last, Mrs. Rebecca Hunt, wife of Mr. Luther Hunt, AEt. 60 years.

At Saratoga [Saratoga Co. NY], on Saturday the 22d ult. of a consumption, Mrs. Lucy Burnap wife of Mr. Abijah Burnap, formerly of Windham, Vt in the 36th year of her age.

Deaths

In this village [Oxford, Chenango Co. NY] on Monday last, of consumption, Mr. Darius Boyden of Ellisburgh, Jefferson County [NY] in the 26 year of his age.

At Leyden, Ms. Richard Corss Esq former Editor of the Northern Whig.

At Albany [Albany Co. NY] on the 2d of May inst. the Hon. Joseph Spencer of Rochester [Monroe Co. NY], aged thirty-three years and four months.  Mr. Spencer was a distinguished member of the Senate of this state; possessed a sound and discriminating mind, highly cultivated by study, and rendered useful by being united with moral purity of character. The elevated stations which he has for a number of years occupied, is the surest proof of the estimation in which he was held by his fellow citizens.

In Philadelphia by the Rev. Mr. Barnes, Andrew Jackson, Jr., Esq. son of the President of the United States, to Miss Sarah [Yorke] daughter of the late Peter Yorke, Esq. of that city.

In Franklin [Delaware Co. NY] on Friday last, Abijah Seely, Esq. aged about 65 years.

In the same town yesterday [Franklin, Delaware Co. NY] yesterday, Miss Hannah Edgerton daughter of Erastus Edgerton, Esq. in the 18th year of her age.

Marriage

Chenango Forks, Broome Co. NY:  A quiet wedding occurred in our village at the Congregational parsonage Thursday evening last.  the parties were Eber Terwilliger a nephew of W. Terwilliger to Miss Etna A. [Johnson] daughter of Simon Johnson of "Sapbush."  The ceremonies were performed by Rev. T.H. Griffith and were witnessed by relatives of the contracting parties. They departed on evening train.

Marriage

BARNES - ARNOLD:  In this town [Norwich, Chenango Co. NY] o Wednesday, the 19th by Rev. L.C. Hayes at the residence of the bride's father, Edward Arnold, E.R. Barnes and Miss Julia L. Arnold all of Norwich.

Brilliant Wedding:  On Wednesday evening, a very agreeable and happy event occurred at the residence of Edward Arnold, some four miles east of this village.  The occasion being the marriage of his daughter Julia, to E.R. Barnes of this town.  Rev. L.C. Hayes was the officiating clergyman. After the ceremony was performed, an elegant supper was served to which the large number of guests assembled did ample justice.  There were quite a number from our village in attendance to bestow their congratulations upon the happy pair.  The recipient of some very elegant substantial and valuable presents.  We understand that they will make no wedding tour, and they departed at once for the home prepared by the husband for his happy bride.
